BODY BY THERMAGE
Thermage is a unique non-surgical procedure, FDA approved for skin tightening and body contouring. Thermage can be used to tighten and lift tummies, thighs, buttocks, and more.
How does it work?
The Body Shape Procedure by Thermage utilizes radio frequency to heat collagen fibers in both the skin and fat layers of a treatment area, to tighten the skin and reduce the size of the fatty area. During each pulse the outer layer of the skin is cooled while the deeper layers of skin and fat are being heated to induce collagen tightening.
How many treatments will I need?
What’s really nice about Thermage is that only one treatment is usually needed to achieve visible results! Typically after a Thermage treatment, a subtle improvement is seen immediately. Then more improvement is progressively noted for up to about six months after the treatment.

Does it hurt?
Moderate discomfort is to be expected, since the collagen must be heated sufficiently in order to achieve the tightening effects. Most patients can tolerate the procedure by just taking extra strength Tylenol one hour before the procedure. Pain management will be discussed during your consultation. Our physician can prescribe pain medication to those who need it. Treatment is safe and effective for all skin types.

LIPOTHERAPY
What is Injection Lipotherapy?
Lipotherapy is a procedure during which specific medication is directly injected into undesired fat deposits. The active substance phosphatidylcholine is a natural, effective and safe compound produced from soy beans. The body uses the same substance in a number of chemical pathways, particularly in the field of fat metabolism.
Lipotherapy is a non-surgical procedure that does not require hospital admittance, general anesthesia, or downtime. Liposuction is surgery. The ideal candidate is a person that is in good health, exercises regularly, is within 25 lbs of their ideal body weight, and has deposits of fat that have not responded to exercise.
Lipotherapy is not for weight reduction; however it can be used to reduce localized fat deposits that are unresponsive to diet and exercise. The medication is directly injected into the fatty area, and stimulates fat loss in the areas injected
What areas can be treated?
Areas that have been responsive to lipotherapy include; under the jaw (“double chin“), sides of jaw line (“jowls”), mid back (“bra rolls”), waist, lower abdomen, sides of abdomen (“love handles”), under buttocks (“banana roll”), under eyes (“eye bags”) and outer thighs (“saddle bags”).
How many treatments are needed?
The number of treatments differs from person to person, depending upon body region and body size. As a rule, 4 treatments in intervals of 2-4 weeks are necessary to successfully complete the treatment. Due to the differing structure of the connective tissue and fat cells, it has been found that men may need more treatments than women in general.
How long is the Lipotherapy recovery period?
The treatment requires no downtime and the patient may return to work or resume normal activities directly after treatments. Typically patients experience temporary swelling and an aching sensation that are reduced by wearing a compression garment such as a waist cincher.
VELASHAPE
Velashape is a FDA approved treatment for contouring, shaping and slimming. Velashape is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction.
How does it work?
Velashape uses a combination of thermogenic energies to reduce the volume of fatty tissues in the treatment area. In addition, the vacuum and tissue manipulation evens out the skin to reveal a smoother, tighter figure.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies for each individual, but typically a series of 4 treatments are performed once a week. Each treatment generally takes 20 to 40 minutes.
Does it hurt?
Treatment is safe and effective for all skin types. Most patients find velashape comfortable - like a warm deep tissue massage. The treatment is designed to accommodate your sensitivity and comfort level. It is normal to experience a warm sensation for a few hours post treatment. Your skin may also appear red for several hours.
How quickly will I notice a change?
Gradual improvement of the treated area can be seen following the first treatment - with the skin surface of the treated area feeling smoother, firmer and tighter. Results in circumference and cellulite reduction will be most apparent 6 to 8 weeks following the final treatment session.
